Local Restaurants Offer a Night of Fun with Bocce Ball

Dating back centuries, bocce ball has been identified in ancient Greek and Roman sites with the discovery of stone balls and paintings depicting the sport. Today, several nearby restaurants offer delicious food and year-round bocce ball.

Restaurants with bocce ball near our Spring Mill apartments include:

A local fixture for the last 20 years, Cafe Michelangelo brings a taste of Italy to Philadelphia. Visitors feel as though they're in the Italian countryside, and the patio is reminiscent of Nonna's backyard with grapevines and a bocce court. In the kitchen, chefs only use the finest ingredients, and they add daily specials and seasonal specials to the menu. Popular dishes include lasagna classico, brick oven pizzas, and rigatoni arrabiata.

Martha is a neighborhood bar where everyone knows your name. It's dedicated to all things local and fermented, and the menu features hoagies, natural wines, and vegetable plates. Visitors enjoy good tunes and chill vibes. The outdoor patio draws a crowd and comes complete with twinkling lights and a bocce ball court. Martha is open daily until 2:00 AM.

Spanning 20,000 square feet, the Independence Beer Garden overlooks the Liberty Bell and the Independence National Historic Park. Its modern setting features distressed metals, reclaimed wood, and Tivoli lights. The garden is where many locals meet up with friends, and they can play bocce ball, cornhole, checkers, and other games. On the menu, patrons will find freshly-made sandwiches such as grilled chicken, pulled pork, and smoked turkey. They pair well with a pint of Goose Island IPA and Kona Big Wave.
