PHILADELPHIA MUSEUM OF ART

When the Centennial Exposition of 1876 ended, its art gallery remained open as the Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art. Today, the museum is known as the Philadelphia Museum of Art and is one of the country's largest museums of its type.

The museum features the world's largest and most important collection of works by Marcel Duchamp. Born in 1887, Marcel was a French artist who immigrated to the United States and is known for breaking down boundaries between works of art and everyday objects.

THE ACADEMY OF NATURAL SCIENCES OF DREXEL UNIVERSITY

Established in 1812, The Academy of Natural Sciences is America's oldest natural history museum. It's where visitors meet live animals, explore tropical gardens, and get up-close to towering dinosaurs.

Don't miss exploring the Butterflies! exhibit. It features species from East Africa, Southeast Asia, and Central & South America. The exhibit changes daily and the butterflies rest on plants, the ceiling, and even the floor.

THE FRANKLIN INSTITUTE

The Franklin Institute is one of the country's oldest and most beloved science museums. It was founded in honor of Benjamin Franklin and is Pennsylvania's most visited museum. Exhibits include Space Command, The Giant Heart, and The Train Factory.

The museum is also home to the Tuttleman IMAX Theater. This dome theater is four-and-a-half stories tall and places audiences in the center of the action.
