Philadelphia Museum of Art

Known as the cultural heart of the city, the Philadelphia Museum of Art offers surprises around every corner. Nestled at the western end of Benjamin Franklin Parkway, its landmark building is filled with highlights including the world's most important collection of works by Marcel Duchamp and the finest public collection of Auguste Rodin sculptures in the United States. Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts

The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts dates back to 1805, making it the oldest art museum in the United States. Its mission is to promote the transformative power of art, and the staff strives to provide visitors with unique and exciting experiences. The museum is renowned across the globe for its collection of nineteenth and twentieth-century paintings, sculptures, and works on paper. Visitors find it's housed in a Historic Landmark Building that is recognized as an important part of the city's architectural heritage, and upcoming exhibits include Swarmand Infinite Spaces: Rediscovering PAFA's Permanent Collection.

Barnes Foundation

The Barnes Foundation is where visitors find one of the best displays of impressionist and post-impressionist works. Founder Dr. Albert Barnes believed that art had the power to improve minds, and the museum's educational programs are in part based on his teachings. It displays a variety of temporary exhibits including Renoir: Father and Son Painting and Cinema. On view through September 3rd, it explores the works of Jean Renoir and the role his father had on his art and life.
